Mariah Carey is set to take center stage as the headliner for Brighton Pride 2025 this August.
For one special night, the legendary singer will trade her title as the "Queen of Christmas" for the "Queen of British Summertime" as she headlines the Pride On The Park event on Saturday, August 2.
In an announcement video posted on Brighton Pride’s official Instagram, Carey enthusiastically says: "Let’s make history together, darlings! See you at Pride On The Park 2025."
The video also hypes the event as a “UK festival exclusive” performance, describing Carey as “the voice, the icon, the Queen of the Lambs.”
“I can’t wait to see all of your beautiful faces,” the five-time Grammy winner adds in the clip.
Brighton Pride’s Instagram post calls Carey’s upcoming performance “a moment we’ve been waiting five years for” and assures fans that it will be “worth the wait.”
Originally, Carey was scheduled to headline Brighton Pride in 2020, but the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions.
That discussions had been ongoing for some time, and now everything has finally come together.
“Mariah was originally set to headline the festival in 2020, and then COVID happened,” the source said. “This show is part of a series celebrating The Emancipation of Mimi album, which featured some of her biggest hits.”
Fans can expect an unforgettable night as Carey brings her iconic vocals and timeless hits to one of the UK’s biggest Pride celebrations.
